Patrizia Gaio
Acupuncturist &
Tui na Practitioner
Hackney

Patrizia’s journey in the Daoist Arts started almost 20 years ago when she began her training in Qi Gong at Neigong International. Whilst continuing her training in Qi Gong she completed a 3-year diploma in Chinese medicine at the Xian Tian College. This program included needling techniques and self cultivation, alongside the more conventional teachings of TCM and classical channel theory. Qi Gong is an important part of Patrizia’s approach to health and an integral component of her therapeutic sessions. She graduated as a practitioner of Chinese medicine and is trained to provide acupuncture , tui na, moxibustion , gua sha and cupping.

She went on to study advanced tui na with Sarah Pritchard, further developing her sensitivity and understanding. She now uses tui na either as a stand-alone therapy or in conjunction with acupuncture , both as a therapeutic and diagnostic tool.

Patrizia’s interest in Classical Chinese Medicine lead her to study with Ann Cecil-Sterman, who’s mental ship programme opened up her practice to a completely new set of channels according to the oldest classical tradition, expanding exponentially the effectiveness and range of her treatments. These Secondary Vessels are effective in treating emotional and muscular skeletal conditions, as well as chronic and degenerative diseases.

Chinese medicine is holistic in its approach. Patrizia’s clinical sessions are supported by dietary and life style advice and exercises, which can to be carried out on a daily basis from home, to enhance the results of the therapy, set up healthier habits and bring consciousness into the healing process. Patrizia is committed to helping find solutions and strategies that apply to each person’s needs and conditions, and she has seen amazing transformations in her clients body and mind after some consistent work together.

Patrizia has a particular interest in treating gynaecological diseases such as endometriosis and PCOS, as well as male and female infertility, and she has supported many couples and individuals on both natural and assisted fertility journeys. She helps women to connect to their inner nature and deepen their awareness of how the mind/body connection affects the flow of their Menstrual cycle. She offers diet and lifestyle advice to support each stage of
the cycle, as well as exercises and emotional support. The harmonisation of the menstrual cycle is fundamental for fertility and the preparation for a healthy pregnancy.
